The Chesterfield police are investigating a shooting of a woman at Pfizer to determine if she could have possible shot herself.

The shooting victim, a female contractor, was shot in the foot after she says she was attacked from behind by an unknown man. She said during the scuffle a gun went off and she was shot in the foot. An exhaustive search by the police did not turn up a suspect.
Unidentified employees of Pfizer said there "was plenty of doubt" about how the story was told to police. Detectives said they can't rule out a fabrication just yet either.
